Background
Anthony came in to Haltom Orthodontics wanting to improve his bite, straighten his teeth and reduce his protruding lower jaw. He had seen an orthodontist previously and new he would need surgery to achieve his goals. Anthony was 27 years old when he started treatment.
Diagnosis
Severe upper and moderate lower crowding. Long lower jaw and short upper jaw causing an anterior crossbite (underbite).
Treatment Plan
The treatment plan for Anthony was typical for a case of his type. We sought to extract upper first bicuspid teeth, align upper and lower teeth with full braces, and then orthognathic (jaw) surgery to move upper jaw forward and lower jaw back. Our estimated treatment time was 27 months. As you can see, his results are life-changing. Anthony is ecstatic with the changes in his smile.
