Background
Morgan came into Haltom orthodontics with her mother after her general dentist suggested she have an orthodontic consultation. After a thorough exam by Dr. Haltom, Morgan and her mom agreed it was the perfect time to start treatment. Morgan Became part of our family at age 12 and was excited to start creating her new smile.
Diagnosis
Morgan presented moderate upper crowding causing a displaced right canine and minor lower crowding. The midline of her lower teeth was 2 mm to the left of the upper midline. She also presented with narrow upper and lower arches.
Treatment Plan
Morgan’s treatment began with braces on all the upper teeth and an expander to increase the width of the upper arch. At the same appointment a lip bumper was fit to increase the width of the lower arch. At the third appointment all the lower braces were placed. The space that was needed to align the teeth was gained through widening of the upper and lower arches. Morgan completed her treatment on time in 24 months, she was a perfect patient and we achieved a perfect result.. Morgan was ecstatic about her beautiful new smile.
